Skin tight and salty

Brows furl to limit the light

This mist,

it’s warm,

it’s revitalizing

My right grip is tight

but yielding

Tense and taut,

shifting from left,

shifting to right

This is peace

full of hot air

And just a slight breeze

keeps us, you

and me afloat

These winds

they always change direction

And I’m reluctant

I take pause

Pause for tact

Grace, I call

the ultimate virtue

Sometimes I pull

too soft

push too hard

And I cannot

adjust what is not

So I watch

and I wait

and I dare not drift
